Evian’s SmartDrop Technology Creates “Green” Water

by CPXample on 06/18/2012

Evian's Live Young campaign is a huge success, always reminding you to stay hydrated.

Did you know that only .4% of the water on planet Earth is available for drinking? Considering this is a dangerously low number, we didn’t think so. Luckily, companies such as Evian know how to attain and distribute this water across the world efficiently.  Every drop of Evian is filtered naturally through layers of glacial sand during a 15+ year journey deep in the heart of the Northern Alps, giving it the purity and taste that nature intended. Many countries, however, are still deprived of a sustainable amount of drinking water.

Evian does a number of things to protect the environment and to ensure that the small amount of water available stays clean. These include working with local companies to protect and restore wetlands resources, and promote local communities’ participation in effective water management. Evian also wants to raise awareness about the dangerously low water supply by bolstering communication, education, public awareness, and sharing experience and knowledge amongst the key actors and Evian’s team. Evian will first target Argentina, Nepal, and Thailand, working to get these areas a steady and clean supply of water. If these programs are successful, we can be guaranteed a plentiful and pure water supply for years to come.

Evian has recently taken a giant step forward in their environmental friendly initiative. Although this product is only available in Paris, it is sure to catch on around the world, and make a big difference. The product, called, SmartDrop, is a small raindrop shaped device that connects to your refrigerator and the internet so you can choose your amount and frequency of water shipment with the push of a button. SmartDrop is mostly aimed towards families and small businesses. When your supply runs out, Evian picks up the bottles for recycling and drops off new ones. This is a great way to get your water supply and help the environment by recycling.

Evian also has a “Live Young, Get Fit!” campaign designed to convince people to drink more water and stay healthy. With dancing babies as their advertisement, this campaign caught on fast and was even the #1 most downloaded video of all time at one point, according to AdAge Global.

Keeping hydrated is essential to living a healthy lifestyle, and staring June 1st, Evian will travel to large cities including Los Angeles, New York, and Miami encouraging people to get moving and exercise while having fun. Jackie Warner is the professional trainer who will be leading these workouts which will include a combination of cardio and toning that embody the Live Young spirit. Evian believes that youth is never a matter of age but rather attitude.
