Often one reason people don’t get involved in philanthropy is because they don’t know where to start. That’s one reason we built CPXample.org, to provide you with the resources to do good. Here are three sites that take it a step further by letting you search for ways to give back in innovative and interesting ways:
- Their mission is to make it easier for people to find and share opportunities to make a difference. Get action alerts on the issues you care about, browse the social actions app directory, and learn more about the action sources they use.
- They believe that teenagers and young people can help change the world, so they leverage communications technologies to enable teens to convert their ideas and energy into action. On the Do Something site, young people can search with the Act Now! matrix: What Cause? Who With? Where? And, how long? to find the opportunity that’s right for them. Do Something also runs a number of programs and initiatives, offers grants, and sponsors a Social Action Boot Camp.
- An independent online community that connects its members directly to the issues that inspire them to engage, contribute and take action. TakePart provides in-depth information on issues, and ways to take action. Join the community to share content of your own and exchange ideas with others.
